General Responsibilities Outline
- Opportunity for either new or experienced individuals to learn a new trade through on-the-job training or expand their skill set in the optics manufacturing industry
- Produce high precision optics for medical and semiconductor equipment
- Inspect parts using prints and measurement equipment to meet customer needs
- Complete necessary documentation to facilitate transfer of parts

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education or experience as deemed by ARO Management
- Prior optics fabrication experience preferred
- Experience in a relatable hands-on field or hobby involving making products and attention to detail (e.g. machining, mechanics, automobile repair, maintenance, carpentry, sculpting)
- Mechanical and technical ability
- Methodical, detail-oriented, and organized
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities

General Responsibilities Outline
- Learns and uses proper glass handling techniques
- Knowledgeably and efficiently operates vacuum coating chambers according to process instructions to producethin film coating to the customer’s specification
- Meets Department first pass yield goals and on‐time delivery goals
- Performs routine and periodic maintenance on coating chambers
- Operates spectrophotometer and related equipment necessary to verify performance of coating runs
- Performs vacuum chamber troubleshooting

Position: Sales & Marketing Manager

General Responsibilities Outline
- Manage Sales and Customer Service Team to consistently grow sales profitably, through exception customer experience
- Manage, support, and participate in sales activities (inside & outside) and business development that will help to achieve annual sales goals
- Work with and communicate internally with engineering and production teams to meet customer requirements, including manufacturability and short deliveries
- Develop and maintain award‐winning website, creative marketing materials, and system to measure effectiveness of marketing efforts.
- Research and identify new markets and work to develop new customers
- Responsible for all facets of industry trade shows and other industry related events
- Effective utilization of CRM database. Develop performance metrics
- Develop systems of capturing RFQs that were no‐bid to help identify opportunities for capability expansion
- Maintain thorough understanding of precision optics market as well as customer’s products and how our optics and coatings are used in them
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the company
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of optics or photonics experience
- At least 3 years of management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (Physics, Engineering, or Science preferred)
- Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills
- Have a methodical and detail‐oriented approach to work by organizing and prioritizing
- Communicate effectively (both oral and written), relay instructions and information clearly, provide feedback when appropriate to ensure instructions are understood clearly

Alpine Research Optics is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. If you are mechanically-inclined, a problem solver, and take pride in a job well-done, we would love to talk with you about this exciting opportunity!
The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Technician Role is experienced with the maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, and vacuum systems. We have optical polishing and coating equipment requiring those skills. You will also assist in the maintenance and repair of the building.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnoses equipment and building system problems and determines the best way to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance and ensures machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
- Repairs and rebuilds machinery and equipment as directed by management and, when necessary, in cooperation with engineers.
- Operates manual lathes and manual mill.
- Performs repairs and renovations to the physical plant.
- Assists contractors as needed.
- Documents and maintains all maintenance records.
- Maintains all equipment.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical inclination and a demonstrated attitude of self-motivation and problem solving.
- High School diploma/equivalent, or other mechanical, electrical and facilities maintenance and repair experience as management deems appropriate.
- Have a methodical and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Able to interpret and apply a variety of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures related to work of the company. Strong analytical skills.
- Perform repetitive tasks requiring exacting and continuous mental and visual concentration in a consistent manner.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. alone or 100 lbs. with assistance.
